Band yang terbentuk dari pertemanan semasa SMA ini pada pertengahan tahun 2001 yang di pelopori oleh Remedy Waloni dan Andra B. Kurniawan, yang dimana pada saat itu mereka tergabung dalam satu band dengan aliran musik jazz. Tapi, Andra dan Iga sebelumnya sudah bermain musik bersama. Musik The Trees and The Wild hadir dalam format electric acoustic dipengaruhi oleh unsur musik folk dan musik etnik dunia.
